Bombarded with suspiciously spam-like emails to publish and present? Wondering what's behind those open access fees? Not sure what journal is the best home for your work?

This interactive session will help participants to:

• Understand economic and equity issues in scholarly publishing that have led to the rise of open access journals
• Distinguish between legitimate and potentially predatory open access journals
• Utilize multiple tools in order to identify several potential appropriate journals for a given manuscript
• Demystify some of the acronyms and jargon seen on journal websites
