• Discuss root causes of disparity and inequity as patient safety challenges.
• Discuss implicit bias, stereotypes, structural competency and racism as patient safety root causes.
• Offer actions needed to eliminate health and healthcare inequity.
• Present recommendations for addressing inequity as a root cause of creating unsafe conditions.
